Companies from across the state participated in a two-part assessment process. The first part included a questionnaire that described each company’s workplace policies, systems, philosophies, practices and demographics. This part was worth approximately 25 percent of a company’s overall score. The second section consisted of an employee survey to evaluate the employees’ experiences. The scores in both areas were combined to determine the final rankings. The final list included 19 large companies (250 or more employees) and 16 small/medium companies (15-249 employees).
